When you choose a seat in class (back, middle...do you dare sit in front?!) you never know who you might sit next to. For my research methods class at UCLA, I chose to sit next to Megan and I'm glad I did! Sure, her super smarts (she has her PhD. now!) helped us ace our class project we did together, but more importantly she became a lifelong friend. We moved to opposite ends of the country (Megan to D.C., me to Idaho) after college, but stayed in touch (thank you Facebook) and both moved back to Southern California in 2008. Her friendship means so much to me and I am excited that we are now raising our kids together!
