When I first started taking newborn photos, I wasn't quite sure of my photography style. I just knew I loved photographing babies! I had seen so many creative ideas (many reminded me of Anne Geddes - who else had her baby calendars and books growing up?) and fun styles that I liked for different reasons. But once I started, I realized I loved lifestyle photos the best. Taken in the family's home, lifestyle photos usually don't include many props or distractions. Just baby with mom and dad in their normal surroundings. Capturing these loving moments and first connections has become the driving force behind my newborn work and every session is so special to me.

I took Baby Reef's photos on Christmas Eve, so his surroundings were EXTRA festive that day! I couldn't pass up the opportunity to put him in a little santa hat and have lights in the background for some of his photos. He was the sweetest little gift under his family's tree this year! A prayer answered and a blessing to so many. I just loved meeting him!
